A great work lamp
Laser Tools has come up with another neat gadget, ostensibly for the motor trade but great for boaters. Called an ‘under-bonnet compact work lamp’, it looks especially useful for narrowboat engine compartments.
It's a 500mm-long sausage-shaped worklight that's designed to provide bright, unfocused, shadow-free illumination in confined spaces. The ingenious part is an angled magnetic mount at each end, together with two hanging hooks in the middle, enabling you to either attach it to a steel bulkhead in your engine bay, or hang it up.
