New luxury cruiser for Portugal’s River Douro
The Douro, Portugal’s most popular cruising river, has no shortage of hotel ships. Indeed, around 30 such boats currently operate on the 130-mile navigation, most based near the country's second city, Porto. But tourism giant TUI believes it deserves one more.
Last month TUI launched its first ship designed specifically for the river, the TUI Luzia. Built at the Concordia Damen shipyard on the Danube in Serbia, the 30m-long luxury cruiser is scheduled to start service from Porto in June 2027.
