Major chandlery group closes shops, moves to online delivery
LKQ, the big motor industry distributor that now owns Midland Chandlers, is closing its three showroom-style shops and moving to a delivery-only model.
Customers will be served through online orders from LKQ’s national stockholding in Tamworth, or via final-mile delivery and click-and-collect through the group's nationwide network of over 250 branches.
LKQ said a small number of chandlery staff will be made redundant. The ASAP Beccles Warehouse will also close, though the building will be retained as a dedicated sales office.
